Empire Cake (Chelsea)

Empire Cake is a cute bakery in Chelsea, on 8th Avenue between 15th and 16th St.
They make mini black and white cakes/cookies which are killer. Really, they are so so good. The delightful little cakes are the perfect size, the cake inside has a great vanilla flavor and the chocolate coating adds just the right textural difference and chocolate flavor.
Their chocolate chip cookies are also amazing. They are rather large and full of oversized chocolate chunks. They once again have a great combination of flavor and textures.
If you like throw backs, they make some fun retro items like Snowballs. Super fun.
