The best ramen ever. If you like ramen you have to stop here. The noodles and broth are like a loving hug.
My favorite is the Akamaru Modern. If you want some more protein with it add the Shigureni topping (pulled pork Chashu) - very tasty!
For appetizers, the chicken wings are delicious, as is the Japanese cucumber dish (Yamitsuki Kyuri). We also usually get edamame with their tasty yuzu salt. Fried shishito peppers are delicious as well, but be warned, about 1 in 10 are super spicy. Pork buns also never disappoint.
They have a second location in mid-town but the East Village/Union Square location is my favorite.
