For the Coffee Lover: Nespresso Machine
/If you still have a "regular" coffee maker at home or another brand of capsule based coffee machines, you need to switch to a Nespresso Machine. You need to. The coffee is lush and silky and the ease remarkable.
I continue to be amazed at the quality of coffee these little machines put out. Full flavored and with luxurious crema. In actuality, I am mostly a tea drinker. Coffee has always been more of an occasional drink for me and only from places that make really good coffee. More often than not I am disappointed with coffee. Until we got a Nespresso Pixie machine.
Now I love having a small cup of espresso in the morning or afternoon with a little sugar and half and half. It is such a nice little pick me up. My husband drinks his black.
As an extra entertaining perk, this makes it super easy to make espresso for Affogatos!
If like me you are concerned with the amount of waste using capsules generates, you will be happy to hear they are recyclable though Nespresso. Upon request, they will send you pre-labeled UPS pouches to send your used capsules in to be recycled, shipping on Nespresso.
We have the Pixie which was their smallest model when we got ours a few months ago and it works perfectly for us. Next size up is the Citiz which is slightly taller. They have recently released an even smaller version, Inissia. If there is a desire for frothed dairy, the Aeroccino Plus Milk Frother is a nice addition to make lattes and cappuccinos.
The machine you order should come with a few capsules. But if you'd like to get some additional ones, a sampler pack is always fun, then Dad can decide on his favorites. Our top two picks are the Linizio Lungo and Vivalto Lungo. The Lungos provide a slightly larger cup. Nespresso recently released decaf versions of those two flavors as well, which are quite good.
